Kristin — pending items

What's still open between you and Kristin, and who owes what.

Grouped by who it's waiting on. What's on you leads, because that's what you can move today.

Built from profile.md, communication-log.md, and the 2026-08-04 / 2026-08-07 call records in ~/relationships/kristin. Last verified read: 2026-08-11.

Your move first

Nothing here is blocked on Kristin. These are the things she's expecting and hasn't gotten yet.

Explorer interface mockups
Owed since Aug 7
You settled the shape on the 1pm call — Explorer interface matches Creator Studio's look/feel, not a separate product — but you still owe her the actual mockups. Blocks: her building the master landing page, since it routes Explorers vs. Creators.

Accountant-facing Stripe Connect / 1099-K summary
Owed since Aug 7
Same-day commitment from the Aug 7 call — something she can forward to her accountant on how Stripe Connect payouts and 1099-K reporting work. Blocks: her accountant's sign-off, which is upstream of turning payouts on for real.
4 days open
Cloudflare Stream video setup
Owed since Aug 7
Same-day action item from Aug 7. Blocks: the video-storage pass-through pricing you agreed on in principle that same day — nothing to charge for until this exists.
4 days open
Marketplace / Creator Lab platform split
Owed since Aug 4
The core launch-sequence item from the Aug 4 co-founder call. As of your Aug 5 email to her, this is explicitly still "not built yet" — she knows that, so this isn't news, just still due. Blocks: her being able to populate two separate spaces with content, and the whole launch sequence downstream of it.

Stripe Connect international payout tax research
Owed since Aug 4
You said you'd research this "after 10pm" the night of Aug 4. On Aug 7 Kristin relayed her accountant's initial read (not a tax problem for JoyOS itself, but 1099-K reporting at volume is open) — your research and her accountant's note haven't been reconciled yet.

Production promotion status
Unclear — check before next contact
Your Aug 5 email told her a batch was "ready and gated for production, waiting on one final check" — explicitly not live yet. Whether it shipped since is not something this page verified live against the deploy. Do not tell her it's live without checking first, and don't re-announce the fixes she already knows about if it has shipped.
Unverified — check current staging/prod state before mentioning

Her move

These are hers to answer or deliver. Listed so you know what to nudge, not to imply she's behind — several of these have no deadline attached at all.

Founding-member pricing — real numbers
Promised, not sent
On Aug 7 she recalled a rough number for Pro (~$697) but explicitly declined to commit to it and said she'd message the real numbers. Also floated capping founding members around 50 — no deadline for the pricing itself has ever been discussed, at all, across any call.

Master landing page
Her stated priority, Aug 4
Her piece of the launch sequence from Aug 4 — routes Explorers vs. Creators. Depends on your Explorer mockups above, so it's genuinely a shared block, not purely on her.
7 days open
Learning Academy course content
Her stated top priority, Aug 4
She called this her most urgent task on the Aug 4 call. No update on it in any record since.

Cohort/community naming
Zero progress
Flagged as the top open item on the Aug 7 recording analysis and explicitly still unresolved — what to call the community vs. cohort model. You floated emailing it separately to make progress; that email hasn't gone out.
Gratitude opt-in level (cohort vs. community)
Not locked
You hedged toward "community" on the Aug 7 call; she agreed to the general shape but never confirmed the specific level. Needs her explicit answer, not an inferred one.
Joy Access Fund contribution %
Floated, not committed
5% floated on Aug 4, not committed by either of you. Separate open sub-question: whether it's platform-built-in or an onboarding opt-in ask — leaning toward built-in, not decided.

The commercial question underneath all of it

There is still no written partnership agreement

This has been flagged urgent since June and never resolved — worth separating from the day-to-day punch list above because it's the one thing everything else is built on top of.

Revenue/equity split — verbal only
On both of you, unresolved since June
Kristin's Grand Rapids advisor advised formalizing this before revenue back on June 11. It still hasn't happened. The Aug 7 call did settle creator revenue share (80/20 standard, 90/10 for founding creators — that's a member payout split, and it's confirmed) — but that is not the same thing as your own founder split with Kristin, which stays verbal-handshake-only with no written document.
Build-service offer for her members — needs a price and referral cut
New — your decision
Referenced today as a defined build-service offer for Kristin's members that still needs a price and a referral-cut decision. This page could not find a written definition of that offer anywhere in the relationship record — flagging honestly rather than inventing terms. If it exists elsewhere, this needs your price and referral-cut number before it can go anywhere; if it doesn't exist yet in writing, that's the actual next step.
Unverified in the relationship record — options below are a starting frame, not a recommendation from prior data
Two shapes to choose between, once priced: (a) flat project fee to you, no referral cut to Kristin — simplest, but gives her no incentive to route members your way; (b) flat fee plus a referral % to Kristin on anything her members buy through the intro — matches the revenue-share logic already agreed for creator sales (80/20), and she originated the "Ethan as a purchasable tier" idea herself back in May, so a cut for the referral is consistent with how she already thinks about this.

Two items she already has answers on — Kristin-CONFIRMED

Not open. Don't re-ask.

Included so nothing above gets mistaken for still-pending.

On the "paying creator" question

The tier answer already exists — it's Joy Creator, not any paid tier.

Grounded directly in joyos-labs' own hard-coded access rule, not inferred.

Pricing today: Joy Seeker free, Joy Activator $27/mo, Joy Creator $55/mo. The Creator Studio access gate is a hard rule enforced in three places in the codebase (client, reducer, and API layer): only Joy Creator tier or admin may create listings. Joy Activator, despite the name similarity, does not qualify. So "paying creator" for anything gating creator access means Joy Creator ($55) specifically, not any paid tier.
Open contradiction on record, not settled: joyos-labs' own CLAUDE.md flags a tension between Kristin's "a space for anyone to create easily" language and this hard $55-tier gate — surfaced there for you and Kristin to resolve, not resolved by this page.
Payout model (transfer-on-sale vs. batched) and the specific "creator onboarding copy" ask from Jul 27 — this page could not find either of these in the Kristin relationship record after a direct search of profile.md, communication-log.md, and every dated file in ~/relationships/kristin. The closest match is an email thread titled "Progress on creator onboarding, and where it's heading" starting Jul 28, but no specific copy request or payout-timing decision is recorded in it.
Not found — may live in joyos-labs project planning rather than the relationship record, or may not exist yet. Don't assume either answer.
